Rod16 - for breeding and und maintenance

The design of LASQCdiets Rod16 has also been orientated on the requirements recommended by the specialists boards and nominated manufactures. It has been proven that by reducing the nutritional value obesity can be avoided without having effects on the breeding performance.

The LASQCdiets® had been developed for use in breeding and maintaining of livestock and is especially suitable for standard strains and transgenics. Data of a key account customer with 11 strains (7 KO) showed that the litter size was increased by 7 % and mortality was decrease by 16 % after a shift to Rod16.

With a long-term feeding test over 12 months a major customer evaluated the weight development of male and female C57BL/6JCrl. Here, the use of the breeding and maintenance diet Rod16 diet of LASvendi® compared to a maintenance diet of another supplier was tested. After 52 weeks the body weights of the feeding groups were similar and differed only marginally by about 3% (not significant).

With the soya free multi-propose diet Rod16 almost all challenges relating breeding and maintenance are covered.

The KISS principle

Our product range concentrates on the essentials. With the KISS principle (Keep It Simple & Smart) it is possible to cover over 95% of all the requirements. The multiple use of a product enables a simplification of the process and a reduction in costs.

Semi-Fixed-Formulas™

The manufacture of LASQCdiets® follows the Semi-Fixed Formulas™ method. This enables the highest possible consistency to be guaranteed not only between charges in respect to the formula but also to the nutritional value of the end product. The formula remains as far as possible the same. Only unusual strong seasonal variations of the natural ingredient (e.g. wheat) would be minimally optimised through the addition of fat or protein concentrates.

GMO

Because some countries have a ban on GMO feeds (Genetically Modified Organisms), we only use raw material that have a non-GMO status. This means we are not legally bound to mark our products as GMO products.

Adapted Nutritional Values

The LASQCdiets meet the following criteria:

ZERO - without Critical Substances
The formulas had been so formulated that all critical substances have been removed. The effect of Phytoestrogens (e.g. from soya), Nitrosamines (e.g. from fish), respirable dust (from coating with silicates) are prevented.
More Details to Phytoestrogenes: LASwiki >> Soya & Phytoestrogenes

Before the nutritional values were fixed special attention was made to the findings of leading scientific boards. LASQCdiets meet the requirements of the “New Scientific Standard”. The key to this achievement was in selecting a balanced nutritional mixture, using selective raw materials.

Requirements / Specifications

In recent years the basic requirements of diets have change radically.

  • ◾The influence of potential disrupters such as Phytoestrogens (e.g. from Soya), Nitrosamines (e.g. from Fish), respirable dust (e.g. surface coating with silicates) are discussed worldwide. (Ref. The report from the former FELASA President Mrs. Ritskes-Hoitinga 2007 and the decision of the OECD 2007.)
  • ◾The requirements concerning protein and energy for of rodents had been continuously reduced over the last 10 years (Ref. NRC-Standards 1995, p13; GV-SOLAS 1998, p3; GV-SOLAS 2003.).
  • ◾The tendency has increased to discuss simpler feeding concepts and problem free adaptation of integrating new livestock.
